The phrase that ‘’knowledge is power’’ is well known and widely used. But have you ever considered what it means in aviation and specifically in aircraft operation?
To me it translates to operate safely from anywhere and under all weather conditions that the crew and aircraft are certified for.
It also means efficiency. Making it to the destination safely and in less than the estimated time, means less fuel-cost and happier costumers.
As a pilot and instructor one of the basic principles I teach is that, when we fly we need to know why we are doing what we are doing and what will be the result of any input or action we make…
Further I would like to encourage you to start your own aviation library in any way is more convenient to you. If you can, dedicate a room or a place in your house, which you feel comfortable and worry less. This will greatly increase the chances for studying on a regular basis.
